Hey there, dreamer! We all have them, some clearer than others. We're scared, we're inspired, we're confused. But, sometimes, we're just aching to talk about it because something absolutely fascinating was shared that gave us clarity or an answer to a question.
What have you learned in your dreams? Please share! Love, Bridget

Hi, Teens and their parents and everyone who loves them! You are so intuitive and wonderful. How's that working for you? What have you done or learned? I would love to hear.
Please submit your story via the Contact page. I am excited to collaborate with you. Love, Bridget Story by Anne Quigg I'm a nanny. I was spending an afternoon at the park with my sweet, 2-year-old friend Kempton. We played on the slide and with some toys we'd brought. When it was time to head home and get ready for dinner, I packed up our belongings and started strolling towards home. We passed through the gate to the street and suddenly Kempton shouted and seemed upset. In great distress he started to say over and over, "Bah! Bah! Bah!" Thinking he was wanting milk I said, "You have your bottle." He continued to shout, "Bah!" and seemed even more upset. "What are you saying?" I asked him, trying so hard to understand. I believe children are always telling the truth. They're always communicating no matter what age. He continued "Bah! Bah! Bah!" I had a new inspiration and asked, "Ball?" He nodded. "Did we forget the ball?" I asked. He nodded and calmed down immediately. I walked us back to the park and discovered he was right. I found the ball I'd missed when packing up. There was no way he could have known consciously that I didn't bring our ball. He didn't watch me pack up. Something inside of him knew and told him to say something. And, bless his heart, he kept saying it until I understood him. Children are incredible intuitives. Again, they are always communicating and always telling the truth. Story by Barbie Wong In December of 2017 I was talking to my friends Kiki and Phil, they are my brother-in-law's parents. They're just wonderful people. They were planning a trip to Rome for the whole month in the month of May. They're so kind. They said, "Barbie, we'll be there. If you want to come join us for any of that time just let us know. It's a small, studio apartment but there's a couch that can sleep just you." I heard this and I thought, "Oh my gosh, that sounds so fun but I have kids that I home school so it's not possible. I'm stuck at home. There's no way I'd be able to do this. If I travel, I need to travel with my kids." I thought it was a pipe dream. It was about that time I was starting to play the accordion. I had started in October and I was getting the accordion newsletter from the San Francisco Accordion Club. And, lo and behold, in January I see a headline, "Accordion Trip to Italy." It was a week in Italy and I thought, "Oh my gosh, that looks amazing. That would be so much fun." It was in May. Again, I thought, "I have kids." Then I looked further and thought, "That's the month of May. That's when Kiki and Phil will be in Italy. That's a coincidence. But, whatever." Then it just gnawed at me and I thought, "I just really want to go on this trip." Next, I thought, "Let's just look at the dates specifically. What's happening in our household during that time?" I looked on our calendar and I realized that Jeff, my husband, was taking the kids to Oregon for a long weekend. They were doing something that I told them I wasn't interested in doing. It was a track meet. Then, I thought, "If he's already taking them there during that time, I just need to find someone to take care of the kids for four days." I have a sister who was not working at the time and is very generous. I ended up asking her to take care of the kids one day. My other sister took care of the kids another day. And, then, my father-in-law came and took care of the kids one day. It was just Jeff and the kids and everything just fell into place. I got to go to Italy, go on the accordion tour and stay with Kiki and Phil. I had the best time. This town had more than 20 accordion manufacturers, an accordion museum, and art all over town celebrating accordion playing. Plus, I made so many wonderful friends. I'm so glad I listened to my gut and let the plan show itself to me. Story by Barbie Wong My sister Jenny is gluten-free and she really loves sweets. It was her birthday and I was just heading over to her house house in Berkeley to visit. I decided I wanted to bring at treat for her so I needed to fit in a stop at a gluten-free bakery. There are several in the area that are good but the gold standard is Mariposa Baking Company. They have a store in the Ferry Building (in San Francisco) and one in Berkeley, but not near her home. Before I left, I looked up a few places for cupcakes. They are often the easiest things to buy gluten-free. There were a few cupcake places in Berkeley and I thought, "Okay, I could go there" but I was still a bit undecided. Then, at some point, I realized I was a late in leaving, that I should have left about 10 minutes earlier. I hurried and I punched one of those cupcake bakeries into my navigation and got going out the door. I started driving. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the freeway. And, right before I got to the freeway, lo and behold, a Mariposa bakery van pulls up right in front of me. It's literally right in front of me, with the sign and the address on the back of the van. I thought, "I think I need to follow this van." And, that's what I did. I followed the van and it took me to an Oakland location, I'd never visited, with a plethora of baked goods for me to choose from. I got really nice baked goods for my sister (see the mocha cake photo below). It was perfect. It was exactly, I guess, what the universe wanted me to do. Barbie, how did you start your journey towards following your intuition? I have this incredible friend who talks about intuition all the time. (Bridget!) I guess just talking about intuition and then hearing stories of other people's intuition and when things work out. In some ways, it's kinda simple. When I follow my intuition things work out. When I don't then things kind of suck. Intuition is like a wheel of fun because when you let go, and just allow what comes, then what comes is often more exciting that what I could ever imagine. I believe we're all highly creative, and intuitive! It's inherent and natural to every one of us to feel our "yes's" or "no's," like "I want ice cream!" "I want cake!" "I want both!" This is exciting work! And, I want us to share our stories of intuition to build a strong community and grow our confidence in our gifts. Here you will find the beginnings of a community built around sharing stories and celebrating intuitive instincts. In honor of the topic, I will share an intuition story of mine. As I dreamed of making up this website I had an inner-eye vision of the logo for "Intuitive Memoirs." I had the vision over a year ago then yesterday, while I was on a long, unpleasant finance-focused phone call, I decided to hop onto Canva (a wonderful website with simple, free or low-cost design tools) and see what I could do to create the logo. In less than five minutes, I'd created it, while listening to a lot of details of tax restrictions. Hooray! It's what I dreamed of over a year ago. And, the fact that I created it when the timing was right for me, unexpectedly so, it flowed very quickly and easily. I feel that is part of our intuitive genius at work. We can get a great idea but there is often, also, a timing to acting on it that is easy and flow-y.
All my love to all of you. I can't wait to collaborate. (That rhymed on purpose, for sure.) Your happy host, Bridget Quigg www.bridgetquigg.com |
